Book nowAda Kan graduated at the Royal Academy of Music and completed her Masters Degree at the Royal Northern College of Music with Paul Roberts. She won the European Piano Teachers Association competition and has since performed as an EPTA artist in venues in London and Manchester.

For this recital she presents a programme of Spanish or Hispanicinfluenced music - performed with great passion and bravura, and always with an instinctive feel for the complex rhythms of Spanish dance.

Book nowMulti-award-winning writer Char March is currently Writer-in-Residence for the Pennine Watershed - a great job which involves her walking over the moors with lots of different groups, and being inspired, scared, moved, soaked, blown away and enriched by our amazing moorland landscape. For this year's Festival, Char has been working with young skateboarders and young-at-heart residents to help them write about the actual moorland watershed and watersheds in their lives. Come along to a heartwarming and exhilarating performance of their work and be inspired to try your own hand at Watershed writing! Nicola is a former prize-winner at the Royal Academy of Music and has performed in all the major halls, including the Wigmore and the QEH. She has broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and performed all over Europe. For this concert she presents a beautifully balanced programme of some of the greatest Romantic and Post-Romantic piano music. What better way to round off the Piano Weekend?
