Police Station - Time is running out.
The Hebden Bridge Community Association has announced that following the successful nomination of the police station as an 'asset of community value' they have conducted a feasibility study for potential uses but are not now putting forward their own bid for the property.
Several other groups have looked a the property but none have come forward to discuss a serious bid. The moratorium in which community groups have time to prepare a bid for the police station will close at the beginning of April and so time is running out if there are still any groups wishing to put forward any proposals of their own.

Hebden Bridge Police Station update
The current situation is that the Hebden Bridge Community Association (HBCA) have taken on the responsibility for nominating the building as a potential community asset under the Localism Act.
As was clarified previously the HBCA is not proposing to take on the building itself. It is trying to secure the 'right to bid' for any community group who may have a credible idea and require time to develop that proposal.
Any interested parties should leave their details for Stephen Curry company secretary of the HBCA at the Town Hall or email Stephen and HBCA will help provide what information interested parties might require to develop any proposals.

Following the successful representations to halt the sale of the Hebden Bridge Police Station to allow community consultation, a meeting has been called for Wednesday 1st May, at 7pm in Hebden Bridge Town Hall and will take the following format.
It will be chaired by Calder Ward Cllr Janet Battye. Those who have specific proposals for consideration will be given 5-10 minutes to make a brief presentation.
