Friends of Calder Holmes Park

Tuesday, 7 April 2009

Friends of Calder Holmes Park are a voluntary group made up of local people who all have an interest in the development of facilities in the park. They seek to represent all park users including children, teenagers, walkers, sports enthusiasts and all those with an interest in the park.

FCHP have helped to raise funds for the new children’s playground and the wet play area and supported the introduction of the wavy path, new lighting and planting in the park.

They are currently helping to raise funds for a new skate park extension.

New Members Needed
The group is currently seeking new members and members to join its committee and has vacancies for a new secretary and treasurer.

We hope to broaden our committee and bring in new skills and enthusiasms from all types of park user.

We are also hoping that parents of skaters may want to join the committee to help see the skate park extended to include new ramps etc that include facilities for younger skaters as well as more experienced skaters and bikers.
